Garlic Olive Oil Shrimp

How do you prepare sauteed shrimp? Sauteeing is a cooking style that uses a saute pan or frying pan, usually over medium high to high heat, and the ingredients are cooked quickly. Follow our easy recipe to prepare Garlic Olive Oil Shrimp. Our Garlic Olive Oil Shrimp has just a few simple ingredients and the cooking time is about 8 minutes. This recipe is a healthy choice featuring garlic, olive oil and high protein shrimp.

Garlic Olive Oil Shrimp Ingredients

Serves 2 – 3. Cook time is about 8 minutes.

  • One Pound of Peeled Shrimp
  • 3 tablespoons of minced garlic
  • Olive Oil
  • Parsley flakes and ground Basil leaves for garnish

For sauteed shrimp first, coat the bottom of your skillet with olive oil. If you are cooking on a gas stove, set the temperature of your burner to 3 or 4, and add the shrimp to your pan. Once the olive oil is warmed, which is only about 1 or 2 minutes, the shrimp will start cooking. Now add three tablespoons of minced garlic to your pan. Let your ingredients cook for four minutes, then flip the shrimp over. While you are turning your shrimp over, spread them around with your spatula in the pan, so the shrimp and garlic are spread throughout the pan.

Next, let your shrimp and minced garlic cook for another four minutes. Turn off the burner and garnish your Garlic Olive Oil Shrimp with ground Basil leaves and Parsley flakes. If you want you can also garnish with Oregano or Rosemary for more of a Mediterranean flavor. Garlic Olive Oil Shrimp goes great over Angel Hair Pasta with seasonal vegetables.

You can add more Olive Oil as needed throughout the cooking. Always keep the bottom of the saute pan coated with oil.
